Yamaha / Haibike E-Bike Kettenschutzring 38 Zähne

The FSA chain guard ring for Haibikes with Yamaha drive is the matching addition to the 38 teeth chainring.

For which Yamaha motors or bike models is the 38 teeth chainring guard ring compatible?

The 38 teeth chain guard ring is only compatible with your eBike with Yamaha drive if a 38 teeth chain guard ring was already previously installed.

Can you upgrade a 2-speed drive to 3-speed with the chain guard ring?

Unfortunately, a subsequent upgrade with the chain guard ring is not possible in most cases, as the front derailleur is designed for the diameter of a 44-tooth chainring. If you fit the 38-tooth chain guard ring, the outside of the front derailleur will rub against the inside of the chain guard ring, as the front derailleur cannot be adjusted far enough upwards.

The 2-speed combination of a single e.g. 34 tooth chainring on the inside of the spider and the 38 tooth chain guard ring on the outside is possible. The original chainring bolts are still used.
